CPS Tiers and Throttling
Power DialerWhat CPS Tiers Are
CPS (Calls Per Second) tiers control the rate at which the
Power Dialer places outbound calls. The dialer dynamically
selects a CPS value based on the number of live agents.
Dropped Call Throttling
Each call router (press-to-accept type) has its own
dropped-call throttle with two tiers:
- If dropped call percentage exceeds the first limit, throttle down to a configured CPS.
- If dropped call percentage exceeds the second limit, throttle down further.
- If dropped call percentage exceeds the force-throttle percentage (default 10%), force CPS to 1.
Dropped call percentage is calculated over a configurable
window (15 minutes to 24 hours).
Max Originates Per Agent
The "max originates per waiting agent" setting (default
1.0, range 0.1 to 10.0) controls how many calls per
enqueue cycle can be placed per available agent.
