Ring Pools (Dynamic Number Insertion)
NumbersRing Pools and Number Pools Are the Same Thing
The platform's navigation and pages label this feature
"Number Pools" (the sidebar link is Number Pools and the
creation page is titled "New Number Pool"), while the
feature is historically known as a "Ring Pool" and its
page addresses still use that name. Both terms refer to
the same dynamic-number-insertion feature.
How It Works
A Ring Pool is a collection of tracking numbers used to
deduplicate web visitors. When a visitor lands on a
tracked page, JavaScript fetches a number from the
pool and swaps it into the page's display. Each
visitor session gets a different number from the
pool. When the visitor dials, the Ring Pool maps the
dialed number back to the visitor session and fires
the offer's call flow with full visitor attribution.
Number Tracking
The platform manages the lifecycle of number
assignments: which number is currently shown to which
session, when a number is released back to the pool,
and how long a session's number is held before
reassignment. A number is re-used across sessions
once the hold timeout expires, but not while a
session is live.
